It's been a long, long time coming but, I know a change is going to come.  Sound familiar?  That's because it's the refrain from an old Sam Cooke song.  Allow these words to minister to you today.  No matter what challenges you face daily, rest assured.  God is still in charge.  So "HOLD ON", help is on the way.

What happened to the summer?  Does anyone remember when summer break used to be 3 months?  I recall having time to miss my friends and my teachers before it was time to go back to school.  Not anymore.  It feels like it's only been a few weeks since I asked for your help with deciding what the kids would do across the summer; now it's time to hit the books.  And it's back to the stadium.  My how time flies! 

It's official, we now have a Belhaven Blazer (freshman in college), a senior in high school and a 5th grader.  Does that mean were old or what?  Whatever the case we are excited.  They are all football players which means we will be attending at least 3 games per week.  Keep your eyes and ears open.  Great things are happening.  I may have to take a leave.  I'll definitely have to take my Geritol.
